On September 11, 2026, a Mozambican delegation led by Mr. Nazário Bangalane, CEO of  National Petroleum Institute, visited Japan to attend the 15th LNG Producer-Consumer Conference 2026, hosted by METI (Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry). During the visit, bilateral cooperation between Mozambique and Japan in the energy sector was strengthened.
