The Investment and Export Promotion Office (ITPO) of UNIDO in Tokyo invited Mr. Nuno Antônio Maposse, Director of the Project Management Division – Investment and Export Promotion Agency (APIEX), to visit Japan from June 8th to 12th, 2026, to promote investment in Mozambique. The Director of the Project Management Division of APIEX is accompanied by Mr. Nándio Durão, Advisor in Mozambique, UNIDO Office – Tokyo.

On June 10th, 2026, the Mozambican delegation and UNIDO co-organized  a Business Forum on Mozambique at the United Nations University in Tokyo, which was attended by Ambassadors accredited in Tokyo, representatives of UNIDO and the Japanese private sector. On June 11th, APIEX Delegation and Japan-Africa Infrastructure Development Association (JAIDA) co-organized  Round Table which was attended by several Japanese companies interested in investing in Mozambique and by Ms. Chiaki Ohya, Director of International Planning for the Construction and Industrialization Policy Bureau at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. The program also included visits to the facilities of some companies in Japan.
