His Excellency João Matlombe, Minister of Transport and Logistics, visited Japan on May 21 and 22, 2026, for strengthens bilateral cooperation in the transport and logistics sector.

During the visit, His Excellency João Matlombe held a working meeting with Her Excellency Kunimitsu Ayano, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Japan, where they reviewed the actions agreed upon during the TICAD 9 Summit, held in Yokohama in August 2025. His Excellency João Matlombe also held working meetings with His Excellency Manabu Nagai, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
