On March 24, 2026, a reception was held at the Official Residence of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Mozambique in Japan, co-organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Mozambique in Japan, SDGs Promise Japan (SPJ), MPJ Youth, and the Mozambican Students Association in Japan (AEMOJA).
This reception aimed to strengthen exchanges between AEMOJA and MPJ Youth, and was attended by representatives from the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
The event included speeches by His Excellency Alberto Paulo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Mozambique in Japan, Mr. Shinichi Kitaoka, Honorary President of SPJ and former President of JICA, and Ms. Reiko Kitaoka, Chair of SPJ, on which occasion they expressed appreciation for the exchange between young people of the two countries. During the event, Mr. Kennedy Charviss, President of AEMOJA, and Mr. Tomoya Oka, Representative of MPJ Youth, presented the activities of both youth associations, as well as perspectives for strengthening youth exchange.
